• Requesting a Book in the Catalog - 2:35
  Provides instructions for requesting a book from the online catalog when the item is available, checked out, or non-circulating.

  This tutorial will give you an overview of ILLiad, the New Jersey State Library's system for requesting books and articles.  Please keep in mind that ILLiad can only be used by New Jersey State employees and Thomas Edison State College staff, students, and mentors.  Anyone else interested in placing a request should contact the Reference Department.

• Locating Nursing Literature: CINAHL with Full Text - 38:20
  CINAHL (the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) is one of the most comprehensive online resources available for finding information covering the nursing and allied health fields.  This class will cover how to perform an effective search to locate articles and other types of publications.  It will also review basic search tips and using CINAHL Subject Headings to perform more focused searches.
• Making PubMed Work for You - 43:50
  PubMed provides free access to MEDLINE--the U.S. National Library of Medicine's premier biomedical database.  The database contains over 20 million citations to professional level medical and life science journals.  By setting up a personal PubMed account, you can be updated on the latest research published on your topic of interest.  This class will review some basic search techniqes and then learn how to set up an email or RSS alert. 
• Local History Information at the New Jersey State Library - 52:06
  While local libraries and historical societies are the main sources for local history information, the New Jersey State Library has resources to supplement your research.  This class will cover many different resources, including family histories, city directories, and local histories.
• How to Use ILLiad to Obtain Books and Articles - 17:32
  ILLiad is the online system that the New Jersey State Library uses to receive and process requests for articles and books from New Jersey State employees, and Thomas Edison State College students, staff, and mentors. Illiad is available from any computer with an Internet connection, so you can place and check the status of requests at any time and from any location. This webinar will show you how to register for the ILLiad system, how to place requests for articles, books, and other items, and how to check on the status of your requests.
• Downloading E-Books and Audiobooks from eLibraryNJ - 29:33
  Looking for something to listen to during your commute? Interested in a source of free books to read on your eBook reader? Now your library never closes!
  This introductory webinar for New Jersey state employees will give an overview of the eLibraryNJ site, including its content and tips on how to download audiobooks and e-books to your eBook reader and other mobile devices. You will learn how to download e-books to your Kindle and other eBook readers that are compatible with the EPUB eBook formats from eLibraryNJ. This webinar will also cover the steps for downloading audiobooks to a computer or portable devices.
