How to Use ILLiad to Obtain Books and Articles

Do you know that we will attempt to get an item for you from another library?  If we don’t have an item in our large collection at the New Jersey State Library, we will use our many national connections to get it for you. 

To obtain those hard to find items and to obtain materials from the NJ State Library’s collections, you need to submit your requests to us via ILLiad.  This service is available to New Jersey State employees, and Thomas Edison State College students, staff, and mentors. ILLiad is available from any computer with an Internet connection, so you can place and check the status of requests at any time and from any location. At this workshop, you will learn how to register for the ILLiad system, how to place requests for articles and books and other items, and how to check on the status of your requests.
