The USDA's Food and Nutrition Information Center page on Dietary Reference Intake values of the following: Estimated Average Requirements, Recommended Dietary Allowances, Adequate Intakes, and Tolerable Upper Intake Levels. Tables of these values are provided for elements, macronutrients, and vitamins.
Dietary Supplement Label Database
A searchable database from the Office of Dietary Supplements and the National Library of Medicine on dietary supplements sold in the U.S. Search by brand, active ingredient or manufacturer. Provides product information, supplement facts, label statements, and manufacturer contact information. Advanced search allows you to search by intended user group or specific health claims.
Food and Nutrition Information Center
The USDA web site has links to information for a wide range of nutritional topics. Access to information covering topics such as food composition, food labeling, lifecycle nutrition, dietary supplements and food safety.
Healthy NJ - Diet, Food and Nutrition
The HealthyNJ site from Rutgers University provides a multitude of resources on many aspects of nutrition. This site also has links to New Jersey-specific resources, other recommended web sites and links to pre-formatted searches in PubMed.
Micronutrient Information Center
This resource from the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University, contains detailed information about vitamins and minerals. This information includes the function of the micronutrient, intake recommendations, food sources, role in disease, deficiency, and toxicity. The site provides information about selected other nutrients, phytochemicals, and foods (ex. tea, nuts, legumes). There is also information on topics such as skin health, bone health, inflammation, and cognitive function.

Nutrition and Healthy Eating - Mayo Clinic
This site, from the Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research, has sections on healthy diets, cooking, healthy menus, shopping strategies and supplements.
The Nutrition Source - Knowledge for Healthy Eating
Excellent site from the Harvard School of Public Health's Department of Nutrition. Focus is on a variety of nutritional topics. The editorial board of this site includes professors of nutrition, epidemiology, immunology, and cardiovascular disease prevention.
Weight Control Information Network- NIDDK
A comprehensive site from the National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) provides publications on a variety of topics related to nutrition, physical fitness, and reaching and maintaining a healthy weight. Topics include weight loss surgery, binge eating disorder, healthy eating and physical activity across the lifespan, and helping your overweight child, among many others.

The ACE site has information for fitness professionals, but also has a great exercise library showing photos of exercises and fitness routines designed to strengthen different areas for everyone.
American Heart Association - Nutrition Center
The AHA site includes information on physical activity, weight management, stress management, quitting smoking and healthy cooking.
Physical Activity - CDC
This comprehensive site from the Centers for Disease Control covers topics such as the importance of physical activity, getting started on a program, making activity part of your life, strength training for older adults, measuring physical activity intensity, and resources for health professionals such as data and statistics.
