On the 28th day of November, 1776, this committee reported, and the field officers of the four battalions, and the company officers of the Fourth Battalion, were elected. On the following day, the captains and subalterns of the First, Second, and Third Battalions were elected. On the 5th day of February, 1777, a new arrangement of the Second Battalion was made by Joint Meeting, and on the 17th of the same month, a new appointment and arrangement of the officers of the Fourth Battalion were made.
The following is the roster of officers of these battalions under the second, or new establishment for troops from New Jersey:
